Description

Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s outrageous and strangely heartwarming musical about two Mormon missionaries sent to spread their faith in a destitute Ugandan village swept the 2011 Tonys and, since then, has been a Broadway blockbuster. While Parker and Stone made their reputation with a combo of off-color humor and intelligent satire on the Emmy-winning South Park, their Broadway debut teams them up with some serious musical collaborators; co-director Casey Nicholaw, known for The Drowsy Chaperone and Aladdin, and co-creator Robert Lopez, who made the music for Avenue Q and went on to pen tunes for a little Disney movie called Frozen
