Anchoring the downtown end of the Mile is the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art, whose permanent collection comprises more than 2 million works. On the uptown end is El Museo del Barrio, which is devoted to Latino—and particularly Puerto Rican—art and culture. Other stops include The Jewish Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, the National Academy Museum, Neue Galerie, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum.
