The Garret

Description

The West Village’s best worst-kept secret is this trendy bar above a Five Guys burger and fries shop. Step into the fast food establishment on the bottom floor and make your way to the back where you'll find a discreet staircase that leads you up to The Garret. This modern speakeasy is decorated with a vintage living room vibe serving up wine, beer, bubbles, classic cocktails and creative mixes like The First Lady, a riff on a Tom Collins with matcha green tea, or The Spicy Tequila, made with chocolate liquor and habanero bitters. You can even get the burgers served to you upstairs. Adding to this speakeasy’s mysterious nature, the inside of the bathroom door features an art installation of doorknobs; make sure you choose the right one when exiting.
