The Jeffrey

Description

The team behind craft beer destination Alewife opened this Eastside beer hall combining two storefronts in one. From 7am to 4pm, passers by can stop in for a locally roasted coffee or pick up a growler of beer to-go. From the afternoon onwards, though, The Jeffrey morphs into a lively beer hall and outdoor patio featuring close to thirty brews on tap and in cans. On a recent trip, the selection included SingleCut Beersmiths Kim Hibiscus Sour Lager ($8), LIC Beer Project Dutch Kills Golden Ale ($10) and Interboro City Wide ($8). Oenophiles will be happy to note that the bar also offers a selection of local wines on tap, by the bottle and the glass, as well as cocktails. Round out the night with bar snacks like sriracha peas ($4) and red beet devilled eggs ($8), plus entrees such as a lamb burger with cucumber yogurt ($16) and pho-inspired tacos with braised steak and ramen noodles ($7 each).
