Great Lawn

Description

Occupying 55 acres in Central Park, this Kentucky bluegrass–covered meadow is among the most famous urban green spaces in the world. Open mid-April through mid-November, the legendarily lush field is ideal for picnics, sunbathing and baseball played on any of the lawn's eight ball fields. It's also the site of many performing arts events throughout the summer months, including concerts by the New York Philharmonic.
