The Helen Hayes Theater

Description

Formerly known as the Little Theatre, this Times Square stalwart was renamed in 1983 for legendary actress Helen Hayes, who was known as the "First Lady of the American Theater.” Hayes acted for nearly 70 years and was one of only nine people to have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony Award. This charming venue, the smallest on Broadway with 597 seats, was renovated and modernized to serve as a Broadway stage for the Second Stage Theater company.
