Lena Horne Theatre

Description

Originally known as the Mansfield Theatre in 1926 and later the Brooks Atkinson, after the famed New York Times drama critic, this 1,069-seat venue was renamed in November 2022 after the great actor, dancer and singer Lena Horne—making it the first Broadway theater to be named after a Black woman. It was refurbished in 2000 and is now illuminated by its original chandelier, which had been removed many decades ago.
