Don Peppe

Description

This old-school Italian classic in Ozone Park doesn't look like much, but it's beloved for baked clams, linguine with clam sauce, spaghetti with copious amounts of garlic and oil, and a tender broiled veal chop. The menu is posted on the wall, and the no-nonsense, professional waiters are adept at tossing salads tableside, divvying up family-size pastas and rushing out more bottles of inexpensive house wine. No reservations or credit cards are accepted, and it's packed every night.
