Her Name is Han

Description

Her Name is Han is a cool, rustic Korean bistro hidden away on East 31st Street, the Empire State Building looming nearby. Owner Kihyun Lee named it in honor of his mother, who should be proud of the well-prepared, home-style dishes featured here. The Korean fried chicken ("K.F.C.," as they call it) is wonderful as are the braised, melting short ribs, sweetly glazed pork ribs and big pancake studded with seafood and hot pepper. Low lighting and a jazz-and-soul soundtrack set it apart from the glitzier Korean establishments found nearby. [NOTE: Cash only at lunch]
