Fort Greene Park

Description

This beloved Brooklyn park, first established in 1847, was a centerpiece of the “park jams” evolution popularized in the Bronx by DJ Kool Herc, hosting DJ sets and hip-hop performances throughout the ’70s and ’80s. Over the years, it’s also played host to a gamut of cultural and musical events, including Lay Out and Curlfest.
