Montero’s

Description

The cloudy glass blocks and unreliable neon sign out front may not look alluring, but inside this dive bar you’ll find a ton of history and an old-fashioned, unfussy, laid-back vibe. The space was once a longshoremen’s hangout, opening at 8:30am for dockworkers getting off their overnight shifts back in the 1950s. Today its history lives on with a different type of clientele—karaoke nights reign—but the crowds still come for the old-school ambiance.
